ABOUT ME

Welcome to my ePortfolio! My name is Jayden Cates, I am a senior at Andale High School. I currently run track for Andale´s varsity track team and I am a captain of the Andale Indianettes, which is Andale´s dance team. I am also a board member for my local church´s Catholic Youth Group. I enjoy reading, writing, and drawing. At the moment I do not have a set college that I plan on attending; however, I do want to major in journalism with a minor in political science.

I have always had a deep love for reading, of any genre. As a kid, I was the person who had a book in their hands at all times. As I grew older I went through many ideas for a career, but could not find one that I knew I would be passionate about. Then I started to look into journalism and I realized that I would be able to take my love of writing and make it into a career.

Writing has always been a major passion in my life. It has helped me express my emotions and creativity. I love to write about all subjects and I am always looking for ways to better improve my writing skills.
